We are a skinny mob, with only two full-timers, and we dream of the smell of an oily rag, so we don’t exactly have the resources to tend to queries that are already answered in our frequently asked questions.
The best way to share your memories, photos, joy, loss, inspiration, best wishes and words of encouragement with Sam directly is on the Love Your Sister social media platforms. Sam reads the comments on social and is always buoyed by the amazing support. He uses it as fuel!
PS : If it’s a complaint about what Sam did or said, we are sorry, he’s always been that way!

If it is about a FOR PROFIT company collaboration with Love Your Sister, we will only be in touch if it is something we have the resources to consider.
If it is about organising an event/campaign WITH us, this is not a reality at this stage. Love Your Sister’s success rides on the back of the generosity of villagers who arrange events FOR us 🙂
If it is an idea for Love Your Sister to adopt - thank you and we will consider it amongst all other options.

We will consider all the ideas, and even other campaigns, but we are not able to respond with explanations and feedback about why your idea wasn't the right fit for us at this time.

We do not have medical degrees and it is important that you discuss all care options with your oncologist and other clinical professionals qualified in dealing with particular patient care.
Love Your Sister raises funds and awareness for medical research, detailed in ‘Our Mission’ on the Love Your Sister website.
We totally empathise with how overwhelming and confusing it can be and understand your desire to get all the information you can. It is important to remember that every cancer is different and every patient is different.
You may wish to contact the Cancer Council’s Helpline 131 120 to access support services, which can help deal with the psychological and financial stresses associated with a cancer diagnosis.

ANOTHER CHARITY?: Sam is a full-time volunteer at Love Your Sister and cannot volunteer his time for another charity or cause. This is a time issue and not at all indicative of a lack of respect for what people such as yourself are doing. Perhaps reach out to the organisation you are raising funds for and see if they have a representative who could help you out?
PERSONAL SHINDIGS: With so much already on his plate it’s simply not possible for Sam to attend your personal engagements.
EMCEE: Sam is unavailable to perform the role of master of ceremonies (MC, emcee) at your event.
TIMEFRAMES: The calendar fills up pretty quick, so if your event is in less than 8 weeks then, apologies, but there's no way to squeeze an appearance from Sam into the calendar on such short notice.

Love Your Sister does not fund patient care programs or individual patient care. We rarely fund infrastructure or machinery, unless new technology is intrinsic to the primary research initiative.
Research proposals can be sent to Dr. Lucy Freeman at lucy@loveyoursister.org. Please be patient as proposals are considered quarterly at board level. We will be in touch if your research aligns with our research focus.

Yeah, very possibly. He likes to chinwag and if the phone number ends in ...610, it's defs him - you just ghosted Sam 🤣, so call him back maybe!
He also likes to text from our SMS machine, keep an eye out for messages from "LOVEYOURSIS" - it's probably something vanquishy!
This is a tough one because of Sam's love of words and books and authors - but no, Sam cannot read, endorse, do a cover quote or sell in the Love Your Sister market your self published novel, cancer journey story or kids book.
Everyone asks for 10 minutes, but it never takes ten minutes, and even if there were all the spare hours in the day - there are no ‘rules’ for how to prepare for and attract corporate sponsors for a physical endurance challenge.
Humble man that he is, Sam is always a bit surprised when selected as a ‘notable’ person for a school assignment. He thinks the real heroes are the Love Your Sister Villagers and the scientists and researchers.
That said, there is also a great deal of information about Sam’s early life and acting career in the book he wrote with his sisters Connie and Hilde. It’s available to purchase on our website if you are interested.
